These terms govern your use of legit2compute (the "Service"): the API, the websites, the node software, and the compute and inference they provide. By creating an account, using an API key, or running a node, you agree to them. The Service is part of the legit2cloud platform and is operated by the legit2compute team ("we", "us"). Legal entity and contact details will be published on this page before general availability.
You need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for everything done with your API keys; keep them secret and rotate a key you think has leaked. One person may hold a customer account, a contributor (supplier) account, or both.
Usage is paid with prepaid credits; one credit is worth one US cent. Credits are bought through
our payment processor and are consumed by jobs and requests at the prices published on your
dashboard and in GET /me. Prices can change; a change applies to work submitted after
it is published, never to work already billed. Credits for a job that fails are returned to your
balance automatically. Purchased credits are otherwise non-refundable except where the law
requires it, and they have no cash value outside the Service. Free or promotional credits can be
withdrawn and are never paid out.
You keep what you submit and what the Service produces for you. You give us the right to process your inputs, and to store your job data and delivered files for as long as needed to run the Service and let you download results. AI models make mistakes: results are generated automatically, are not reviewed by anyone, and can be wrong, biased, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for checking them and for how you use them, including whether you have the rights to the material you submit.
The Service runs on graphics hardware contributed by approved third parties ("contributors") as well as on machines we operate. A machine that runs your job or answers your request necessarily handles your input and output in memory while doing so. We do not store or log the prompts and outputs of language-model requests; what we keep is described in the Privacy notice. Accounts on the private inference tier are served only by machines we own or contract, never by a contributor's machine. Contributors never receive your account identity.
Do not use the Service to break the law, to create or distribute child sexual abuse material, malware, or content that harasses or defames a person, or to infringe someone else's rights. Do not try to access another customer's data or keys, to attack or probe the nodes and services, to circumvent billing, or to run a node that reports work it did not do. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and any unused credits in a closed account of that kind are forfeited.
The Service is provided as it is, without an uptime commitment, at this stage of its life. A model that is not resident answers with a "warming" status and becomes available shortly; a job can queue when the fleet is busy. The status page shows current capacity. We will give reasonable notice of planned maintenance and of any decision to discontinue a feature.
By running the node software you contribute hardware you own or control, at your own cost (power, connectivity, wear) and in compliance with the rules of wherever it runs. Work your node completes earns credits according to the payout tier shown in your dashboard. Earnings are held until the work is validated, become cashable after the validation window shown in your dashboard, and are paid by the method you configure once your balance passes the minimum payout threshold. Work that fails validation, produces no usable output, or is found to be reported falsely is not paid and can be reversed. You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings. Customer inputs your node processes are confidential: you must not inspect, retain, or disclose them, and you must not tamper with the node software.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits or data, arising from your use of it. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We can update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and material changes are announced on your dashboard. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. You can close your account at any time. We can close an account for breach of these terms, or on 30 days' notice for any other reason, in which case unused purchased credits are refunded.
